Privacy Policy
How Convas collects, uses, and protects your information—and the choices you have.
In short
Convas is a conversational AI presentation service. This policy applies to convas.design and the related sites, apps, and share links we operate. Questions? Contact support@convas.design.
What we collect
- Account information: your email; if you sign in with Google or GitHub, public profile details such as name and avatar.
- Project content: documents, spreadsheets, and images you upload; chat history; brief, outline, design, and slide files.
- Usage and billing: Credits consumption, plan tier, and payment-provider checkout or subscription IDs (we do not store full card numbers).
- Technical information: approximate device and browser type, IP address, security-check results, and cookies needed for sign-in, referrals, and preview.
- Support messages you send us.
How we use it
- Provide and maintain the service: sign-in, project storage, generation and editing, sharing, and export.
- Billing, abuse prevention, security, and troubleshooting (including bot checks and unusual sign-in detection).
- Respond to support requests and notify you of material changes to the service or policies.
AI and third-party processing
When you use AI generation, editing, search, or parsing, we send content you actively submit—prompts, attachments, project context—to third-party AI and tool providers to complete your request. Those providers process data under their own policies. Convas does not use your projects for AI model training.
Do not include sensitive information you would not want processed by third-party AI (such as government IDs, medical records, or unreleased trade secrets) in chats or uploads.
Share links
When sharing is enabled, anyone with the link can view your deck in read-only mode—they cannot edit your project. Do not share links that contain sensitive information. Links stop working after you revoke or delete sharing.
What we don’t do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use your project files or chats for AI model training.
- We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics pixels (only cookies necessary to run the service).
- We do not make your private projects public without an action you take.
Storage & security
Your account and project files are hosted primarily in Singapore. Because of AI generation, sign-in, and payments, some data may be processed in other countries, including the United States. We transfer data only as needed to provide the service and apply reasonable safeguards such as access controls and encryption.
We keep your projects and usage records while your account is active. After you delete a project or ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize related data within a reasonable period, except records we must keep for law, disputes, security, or completed payments.
Cookies & your choices
We currently use only cookies necessary to run the service: sign-in sessions, OAuth return, referral codes, and preview authentication. Blocking them may prevent sign-in or some features.
You can: delete projects in the app; email support@convas.design to export or delete your account (we typically complete this within 30 days, except records we must keep by law); and, depending on where you live (such as the EU, UK, or California), exercise rights to access, correct, restrict, or delete personal information. Email from your registered address and describe your request.
The service is for users aged 16 and over. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact support@convas.design and we will delete it.
