Outline

The Outline tab plans your narrative: sections, slide bullets, and information hierarchy. It is the story blueprint—it does not automatically reorder canvas pages.

What Outline does

The Outline tab answers “How are sections arranged, and what goes on each slide?” Structure chapters, list bullets per slide, and give the Agent a blueprint for generation.

Edit & structure

  • Edit section titles and slide bullets directly in the editor.
  • Ask the Agent in chat to add sections, merge bullets, or reorder.
  • Import or paste an existing outline and iterate from there.

Example prompts

Draft from scratch

From my brief, draft a 12-slide product launch outline—cover, pain points, solution, roadmap, and Q&A.

The Agent writes to the Outline tab; you can fine-tune in the editor.

Add a section

Add a “Competitive analysis” section after the solution overview—about two slides of bullets.

This updates structure only; new slides are not rendered unless you ask.

Merge slide bullets

Merge bullets from slides 4 and 5 into one slide—update the outline only, do not touch the canvas yet.

Saying “do not touch the canvas” avoids accidental reshuffling of finished slides.

Rebuild canvas from outline

Rebuild canvas page order from the latest outline—show me a plan first, then execute after I confirm.

After slides exist, outline edits do not auto-reorder pages; rebuild needs explicit approval.

Relation to canvas

Outline shapes the story; the canvas holds final page order and finished slides. After slides exist, editing the outline will not silently reshuffle the canvas—tell the Agent explicitly if you want to rebuild from a new outline.
